Potent, solid, impressive and imposing, the Ibanez PTPRE PENTATONE Preamp pedal has been built for modern guitarists that demand fully analogue preamplification, an extensive array of guitar sounds and a set of fuss free controls. Ranging from the sweet and subtle to the crunching and overdriven and the raging and distorted, the sound of this powerhouse of a stompbox can be moulded to shape via a two-band EQ before being tightened up by the simple one-button noise gate. Want more gain? Engage the Pre and Post Boost and kick things up a notch.
The Ibanez PENTATONE Preamp: Deep-Diving Control
Flick the Bright switch to inject immediate clarity and dig deeper into the sound via the five-pot parametric equaliser section to set the frequencies before balancing everything out via the set of five boost and cut sliders. Besides the preamp bypass and post boost footswitches, a latched two-button footswitch like the Ibanez IFS2L (not included) can also be hooked up to toggle the five-band EQ and pre-boost.
