Ibanez just dropped a brand-new version of the iconic Tube Screamer: the TS808HW V2. This hand-wired edition has been built on the idea to create the best overdrive of all time, which means that every last component has been deeply thought about. Following countless prototypes, Ibanez concluded that the JRC NJM4558 op-amp proved indispensable for transparent, mid-range-rich sound, while the addition of MOGAMI OFC wiring underscores the quality and craft that's gone into this premium stompbox. Since the previous version was sometimes criticised for its lower output, the TS808HW V2 adds a six-decibel boost to the final stage of the circuit, resulting in a higher maximum output. Another solid upgrade are the newly designed black alumite knobs.
