The Tube Screamer TS9 was originally launched in the early eighties, when heavy metal music was in its hay day. Used in blues, jazz and rock music, this stompbox is often combined with a clean amp setting for a mid-range boost with a distinctive and popular tube sound. Guitarists discovered that blending this effect with other overdrives resulted in a much fuller, more characteristic distortion.

The legendary TS9

Ibanez began producing the TS9 remake in 1992 and remained true to the original design then and ever since. This reissue guarantees the same authentic sound experience as the 1982 original with the addition of a new, high-end chip that gives it its characteristic properties. It features tone, level and overdrive controls and a larger foot stomp button than its predecessor.
