Ik had ooit een originele Rat 2 uit 1988, maar die had ik aan een kennis gedoneerd.
Deze miniversie klinkt nagenoeg identiek, maar werkt gelukkig wel op een normale 9v adapter, de oude Rat 2 had zo'n mini-jack powerinput, of batterij.
Zoals bekend, de Rat is veelzijdig, van overdrive tot distortion tot pseudo-fuzz, en met het Rat-filter (en wat spelen met je EQ op je versterker) kan dit pedaal zelfs een basgitaar aan.
Werkt ook prima met synthesizers, drummachines en samplers.
Als stand-alone dirtpedaal prima, maar werkt ook goed samen met andere drive/distortionpedalen, zoals een Big Muff.
