While it may be compact, the ODR-Mini natural overdrive pedal from Nobels boasts a mass of potential and comes fitted with glow-in-the-dark pot caps so you always know your settings. The Drive control determines the degree of distortion from clean to heavy; the Spectrum control sets the amount of treble and bass; and the Level control pretty much speaks for itself. Cleans, mid-gain sound or full-on, rock-ready overdrive - this plucky little stompbox can do it all and even features a true bypass circuit.

Great little pedal. It throws more bottom end into the mix than I was expecting, but this can largely be dialled out using the very effective spectrum knob. I believe that its larger sibling has an internal switch for taming the bass. I’m running it in front of a Suhr Hombre, with the bright channel on the edge of breakup & channel 1 overdriven (switching between them with an A/B pedal), and it works well with both, adding a bit of definition and a lot of sustain. Drive set at noon, level at about ten to and spectrum knob at quarter past.

Een hele lekkere veelzijdige overdrive die natuurlijk klinkt.
De Spectrumknop is even wennen, want die werkt net even anders. In plaats van een simpele toonknop past ie de lage mids én de hogere tonen aan.
Volgens sommigen wordt dat modderig, maar met single coils, prima...
En dan voor bassisten, zeker een aanrader, een treble boost, zonder dat je lage tonen meteen verloren gaan.
Werkt ook heel goed samen met andere drivepedalen.
Gaat van een héél licht harig randje tot bijna OCD-achtige pseudo-distortion.

Dit is het eerste pedaal dat ik heb gekocht. Ik was opzoek naar een warme overdrive en dat is voor mij zeker gelukt met de ODR mini. Het pedaal wordt ook een boekje bijgeleverd met een paar setups voor bijvoorbeeld een blues lead sound. Het is ook een erg makkelijk pedaal om te gebruiken en heel erg divers.
