Like the CDJ-2000NXS2, the fresh Pioneer DDJ-1000SRT now has a full-size, low-latency jog wheel and a real MagVel fader so that even the most aggressive scratchers and turntablists will be taken with this versatile controller. The Serato DJ Pro license is built in so you only need to switch it on, start Serato and it will immediately recognise the license!
Since watching a DJ who spends their set staring at a laptop can be ... a little boring, Pioneer have added 'on jog displays' to the DDJ-1000SRT's. Everything that might need monitoring and tweaking is displayed on the screen: pitch; bpm; deck; mode; time and track position. You also get 4 'sound colour' FX (pitch, dub echo, pitch and noise) and 14 'beat' FX to add an extra dimension to your set. If you want to play with the beat, you've even got 16 RGB pads; 8 per deck and in easy reach. There's also a hot cue, slicer and pitch play button per side.
What really makes the DDJ-1000SRT controller something special is the connectivity. The 1000SRT comes with 4 inputs, one for each channel so you can jack in CDJ's or vinyl turntables with no trouble and potentially use this controller as a 'DJM' standalone mixer. On the back, you get a pair of standard jack booth monitor output, 1 microphone input and a set of both RCA and XLR master outputs in case you need to connect directly to the PA. You even have the choice between a mini and standard jack connector for your headphones. Everything you could possibly need!
