General
The Pioneer DDJ-RB DJ controller is the latest addition to the Rekordbox DJ family. It's an affordable, compact and portable two-channel controller that comes with the Rekorbox Plus Pack as standard. This pack has the full version of Rekordbox DJ, DVS and of course the music management software. The controller, meanwhile, has a great new PC Master Out connector feature. This means you can connect it to your laptop or PC and play the master output through your speakers, while simultaneously using the controller for its headphone output. It's a great feature when you're mixing tracks at home. Another new addition is the Sequence Call feature that allows you to create and save sample sequences without even touching your computer.
Intuitive
When you're on a roll, you don't want to break the flow by being unable to find a button on your monitor or controller. That's why Rekordbox DJ mirrors the DDJ-RB controller on screen, so it won't matter where you're looking. What's more, thanks to the built-in sound card, you'll only need the included USB cable to turn it on. The cable even allows you to record your live sets. Furthermore, thanks to 8 simple pads (4 per deck), you can easily trigger Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump or Slicer effects. To help you get even more creative, you now have the Sequence Call feature to quickly whip up your own samples.
Familiar layout
As you've seen and read by now, the DDJ-RB has a layout that's familiar to any Pioneer user. Two decks on the left and right of the mixer area, the handy needle search feature, effects parameters and sturdy jog wheels are all back in full force. Furthermore, all controls are backlit, so you can even work perfectly in badly lit venues. Of course, you can plug in a microphone—which won't cause feedback even at high volumes—and control it using the DDJ-RB. Last, but not least: with the practical handles, you can easily pick it up and take it with you wherever you go, as it's small enough to fit virtually any DJ booth!

De complete software die er bij zit is heel uitgebreid en gemakkelijk om te gebruiken. Zorg wel dat je laptop of pc geen 10 jaar oud is, om het soepel te doen draaien. De minimum systeemvereisten zijn echt wel het absolute minimum!
Heb je alle functies op de hardware die je kan wensen? Nee, dat is natuurlijk niet mogelijk voor deze prijs, maar prijs/kwaliteit zit je met de software die hierbij zit met een heel leuk instapmodel.
Het grootste nadeel zijn de heel kleine schuivers, maar het went wel.
Het grootste voordeel, buiten de software, is de filterknop.
Zeker een aanrader, je zal hier veel meer plezier aan beleven dan aan die goedkope (100 euro) toestelletjes die binnen twee weken ergens in de kast komen te liggen door de vele kleine ergernissen die ze opwekken. Geloof me, ik ken het gevoel...
Dit kost 2 a 3 keer meer, maar dat is het ook gewoon waard. Dit zal niet vlug in de kast stof verzamelen.

Ik heb hem zelf aangeschaft omdat ik mijn dj set wat te groot begon te vinden voor mijn studio.
De controller gebruik ik alleen om mixjes op te nemen.
Pluspunten:
-Werkt snel
-Filter button
-Effect button per kanaal
Minpunten:
- Geen schermpjes waar je de tracks kunt zien of waveforms etc.
-Erg klein en compact
-cue/play knoppen hadden groter gemogen.
Al met al, voor een beginner of in een kleine thuisstudio, een perfecte controller om wat mixjes mee te maken.

Zeer veel effecten en de performance pads zijn echt top om net dat beetje meer te kunnen. 8 hotcues mogelijk, beatjump, ideaal om een mix te maken met een lekker tempo van opvolgende nummers.
Enige minpuntje aan de controller is dat de tempo faders wat klein zijn, maar er valt nog prima mee te werken.
