General
To highlight their new independent spirit, Pioneer decided to include a full version of the Rekordbox DJ Plus Pack with the DDJ-RR. That means you'll have access to all of the software's functionality to make the most of this 2-channel DJ controller. The RR, which is the DDJ-RB's bigger brother, is really a professional setup in a handy, portable package. It has everything you need, from large jogwheels with an on-jog display and performance pads with adjustable colours, to VU meters for each channel and the new Sequence Call and PC Master out features. With Sequence Call, you can create your own sample sequences, save them and play them back without having to touch your laptop or computer. The PC Master Out, meanwhile, allows you to use your desktop or laptop speakers as a master out.
High quality
With the full Rekordbox DJ software package, you have a wealth of possibility at your disposal, and the DDJ-RR is a fantastic controller for it. You can choose to power it with a USB cable or regular power cable, whether you want your headphones plugged in the front or the back, and even whether you want to play in standalone mode with the two line/phono inputs. Furthermore, besides the standard buttons for Hot Cues, Pad FX, Beat Jump and Slicer, there's also the Slip Mode that will make sure the music keeps running (while muted) while you perform a loop, reverse or scratch. Finally, with Release FX you can easily exit complex effect patterns by selecting the vinyl brake, echo or back spin.
Familiar
To make sure everything works as smoothly as possible, Pioneer hasn't changed much about the new controller's layout. The two decks are separated by a mixer section, and all the familiar controls are easy to reach. You can also switch between four decks and you can hook the DDJ-RR up to your PA system via the balanced XLR or RCA outputs. What's more, you can hook up a microphone that you can control using the Recordbox software! Finally, it sports a great design with flat sides that make it easy to transport.

Gelukkig toch kunnen draaien op het feest door de snelle levering.
Weer echte pioneer pro kwaliteit.
Mooi dat je hem als stand alone mengtafel kan gebruiken. Ook de optie om hem als 4 kanaals deck is handig. Audio is top. Gewoon de prokwaliteit die we kennen ook de zelfde drivers Omschrijving op de website is duidelijk en to the point. Bax heeft het top verpakt. Kijk daar wordt ik vrolijk van!

De controller, niets dan positief. Stoer en sterk. Jog-wheels voelen goed aan werken zeer nauwkeurig en goed van formaat. Een hele verbetering als je van Traktor Kontrol Serie komt. Geluid is ook super! De software werkt fantastisch, is zeer uitgebreid en vertoond tot nog toe geen drop-outs of clicks. Dus kan hem gewoon aan iedereen aanraden die een betaalbare, degelijke Pioneer-controller wil zodat je thuis toch een en ander jkan voorbereiden voor je naar een club (waar de standaard toch Pioneer is) of feest moet voor een setje.
En de service van Bax is onbeschrijflijk. 22.30 besteld, volgende dag om 09.00 stond hij al in mijn kamer.

Pluspunten:
+ Jog-wheels
+ Kwaliteit equalizer, filter en pads.
+ Alle features van de high-end Pioneer producten voor een schappelijke prijs.
Minpunt:
- De hardware zelf is erg goed maar de Rekordbox software daarentegen... Oogt nog onvolwassen en is buggy. In mijn geval geeft de software elke keer bij opstarten error-meldingen rondom niet gevonden (flash)drives. Dit aangekaart bij Pioneer, bug is bekend maar wordt (nog) niet gefixed. Erg slordig.

Deze controller is meteen ook mijn eerste van Pioneer (voorheen gebruikte ik een hercules control instinct).Prima levering van Bax 's avonds besteld en gekozen om 2 dagen erna te laten leveren prima in orde.
Over de controller prima controller grote jogwheels met LED binnenin de jogwheels. De LED display kleur kan je instellen in Rekordbox wat ook een SUPER programma is.

After years of working with Serato DJ, the manufacturer decided to take matters into their own hands. The introduction of Rekordbox DJ caused quite a stir in the DJ community, as Pioneer is one of the few manufacturers of DJ hardware that create their own software as well. With the arrival of the DDJ-RB and DDJ-RR, they've made sure their DDJ controllers series is ready for Rekordbox.
