They are the perfect accessory to go with the violet-coloured DDJ-WeGO controller, but they are also great for DJs who just like a bit of colour in their headphones. Like all Pioneer products, the HDJ-500 provide excellent sound and feel very comfortable.

Technology of the HDJ-500 violet

Like all the other colour editions, this violet version of the HDJ-500 is fitted with powerful 40 mm drivers, which provide a clear sound as well as heavy bass tones. Consequently, prelistening in a noisy environment is possible. The right-hand ear piece can be rotated away from your ear by means of a hinge, allowing you to hear the sound from the room with one ear while you are beat mixing the next track via your headphones. The HDJ-500 are fitted with a 3.5 mm jack plug and come with an accessory 6.35 mm jack adapter. This allows you to plug them in anywhere, from DJ mixer to MP3 player.

Comfort and construction of the headphones

These headphones have a flexible, yet rugged synthetic construction and are decorated with several Pioneer logos and violet accents. The ear pieces are fitted with comfortable on-ear pads and the interior of the headband is padded, so the headphones rest firmly but comfortably on your head.
