General
Sennheiser's HD-25 studio headphones are designed for professional applications. These lightweight headphones have a full frequency range and are perfect for monitoring, broadcasting, recording live or DJing. They have a closed construction that's designed to keep external sounds out. The headband is equipped with the iconic split design and it's possible to turn the ear cups should you only want to listen to one side at a time. The new design helps to keep the ear cups in the right place too, while excellent sound response is guaranteed by the lightweight, aluminium voice coils.
The Sennheiser HD-25s: Complete Studio and DJ Headphones
With a frequency range of 16 to 22,000 Hz, you won't miss any detail when playing music. The HD25s have an impedance of 70 ohms and a maximum sound pressure level of 120 dB, so you don't have to worry about the volume either. A 1.5-metre mini jack cable and jack adapter are included too. Whether you're a demanding beginner or a professional, Sennheiser's HD-25 studio headphones won't let you down.

Like others who have left reviews I also ordered on the basis that I was ordering the Special Limited Edition model with the yellow ear pads. I did however receive the standard black version. Which is rather disappointing since I only ordered when I did so as to get the limited edition ones.
However, I'm here to review the headphones, not the false advertising. In that regard I am very happy, while they are not the ones I expected to receive they are still fantastic headphones. Sound quality is excellent at any volume. They are very light, very comfortable and very robust. So for the quality of the headphones absolute 5 star.
Just the slightly bitter taste of not getting exactly what you ordered.
However, I'm here to review the headphones, not the false advertising. In that regard I am very happy, while they are not the ones I expected to receive they are still fantastic headphones. Sound quality is excellent at any volume. They are very light, very comfortable and very robust. So for the quality of the headphones absolute 5 star.

Na veel rondvragen bij collega dj's kwam ik telkens weer uit op dezelfde naam: de Sennheiser HD25.
Vrijwel iedereen die ik sprak, van beginners tot ervaren club dj's die deze koptelefoon al jaren hebben, zweerde bij deze koptelefoon. Dat gaf voor mij uiteindelijk de doorslag om hem zelf aan te schaffen — en ik snap nu helemaal waarom.
Wat me meteen opviel toen ik hem voor het eerst opzette, is hoe licht hij aanvoelt. Zeker als je gewend bent aan zwaardere studio-headphones is dit echt een verademing. Tijdens lange sets merk je nauwelijks dat je hem op hebt, wat voor mij echt een groot pluspunt is.
Qua geluid stelt hij absoluut niet teleur. Deze koptelefoon kan extreem luid zonder dat het vervormd raakt, wat in een rumoerige club echt essentieel is. Tegelijkertijd blijft het geluid heel gedetailleerd.
De sound is vrij direct en eerlijk. Niet overdreven bass-heavy, maar juist strak en helder. Dat maakt hem perfect als werktool, al kan ik me voorstellen dat sommige mensen voor casual luisteren een warmer geluid zoeken.
Goed om te weten is dat veel onderdelen gemakkelijk te vervangen zijn en dat deze hoofdtelefoon al meer dan 30 jaar een begrip is in dj land.

Top ding, lekker licht merk amper dat het op me hoofd zit maar er komt een behoorlijk lawaai uit. On ear maar het dempt goed het geluid uit de omgeving.
