The RP-DH1200 headphones are part of Technics Digital 1200 series and were made specifically with demanding DJs in mind. They're equipped with large, 50mm drivers and can handle an input power of up to 3,500 mW. No matter how often you use them, these durable DJ headphones are in it for the long haul.
RP-DH1200: DJ headphones
The Technics RP-DH1200 headphones were obviously developed for DJs. Both earpieces can swivel as well as tilt, allowing for easy one-ear monitoring. The headphones have a robust housing and a practical collapsible construction, making them the perfect partner for DJs on the road.
Coiled cord
The Technics RP-DH1200s come with a 3-metre coiled cable that won't tangle easily and gives you optimal freedom of movement. This detachable cable is connected to a single earpiece and has a gold-plated stereo mini jack connector, but a jack plug adapter is included so you can plug in anywhere you want.

Very nice looking and well built headphones. Nice sound quality with prominent bass and crisp, audible mids/highs. I haven't used them a lot yet, but so far so good!!
Ear pieces are comfortable around the ears and noise isolation is very good!! Can barely hear music blasting from speakers whilst they are on.
The down sides for me are they are quite a tight fit so can give you mild headache if using for extended time (mine are still new, however, and headphones tend to stretch with time and use) also if you have a large head like myself, you will need to adjust them to almost max size, which isn't much of a problem but will suit people with smaller heads better.
Finally, they are a little heavy but i think that is because of the superior build quality and feel of these headphones.
Overall, i would highly recommend them. In my opinion, the Pros outweigh the Cons!!

This has a greater base response than the most expensive pioneer 2000 headphones, I know as I have a pair, but the mids on the RP DH 1200 are just OK, highs are clear and OK too, a mid range pair of headphones priced accordingly and seem well built, if your a DJ and want a loud pair of headphones? Well these are s riot !!!

Ik moet dat merkniet meer hebben ik heb nu de Pioneer xdj10 de beste zeer goed geluid draag komforen zeer goed nog nooit een kussentje moeten vervangen nog altijd de eerste dus een aanrader van zo een aan te schaffen en al veel in gebruik toch dagelijks

Heel goede hoofd-set, maar zelfs na bijna 5 keer per jaar in 3 jaar gebruikt te hebben moeten de oorkussens vervangen worden, deze verliest de toplaag, alles komt los, allemaal zwarte schilfers...zou eigenlijk niet mogen in deze prijsklasse...

Goed geluid, begint wel een beetje te knellen na langdurig gebruik. Ik hoop dat dit nog verdwijnt na enkele gebruiksuren. Ook de bijgeleverde kabel voldoet niet helemaal naar mijn wensen, gelukkig is deze afneembaar en kun je deze vervangen, wat bij mij ook gaat gebeuren.

Dit is nou een echte haat/liefde verhouding.
In 12 jaar draaien heb ik sinds dit carnaval weekend 12 van deze jongens gehad (geloof dat er wel eens een lettertje in naam veranderd is maar het was altijd een RP-DH1200.
Ik draai 120 boekingen van 5/6 uur per jaar. En ben gewend dat ik er elk jaar eentje koop omdat hij helaas elke keer op precies hetzelfde punt in de hoofdband langzaam lam wordt en uiteindelijk dusdanig breekt/uit verband raakt dat hij onbruikbaar is. Doordat hij minder strak op je hoofd drukt merk je aan het geluid al wanneer het bijna zo ver is .
Heb altijd gewoon een nieuwe gekocht, ik gebruik hem gewoon veel en blijkbaar is 120 optredens met 200 keer op en af zetten gewoon ongeveer de limiet van de constructie. De laatste keer was het helaas na 3 maanden al gebeurd, en heb hem toen voor RMA naar Bax op gestuurd en kreeg snel een nieuw exemplaar.
Mijn advies als je begint met draaien, als je eenmaal gewend bent aan een koptelefoon en hoe deze tijdens optredens klinkt hecht je daar waarde aan, en deze koptelefoon kopen betekend dat je net als ik over twaalf jaar niet meer weet of je hem 5 sterren moet geven of 2 :)
