Technics SL-1210MKX DJ turntable

General

Technics didn't just tack on an X for effect: it stands for Extreme and Expert. Extreme, because the SL-1210MKX is built for demanding environments where heavy bass, high volume, and marathon sets push equipment to its limits; Expert, because the pro artists it's designed for expect nothing less. Sitting above the SL-1210MK7 as the new flagship of a line spanning over five decades, it was developed with direct input from working DJs and sound engineers to target real-world booth challenges. This isn't an impulse buy—it's a serious tool of the trade, complete with a legendary slice of club history.

Rock-solid in the bass: the Technics SL-1210MKX

Anyone who has played a bass-heavy venue knows the danger of acoustic feedback. That’s why the SL-1210MKX features a significantly heavier, optimally balanced chassis that offers far greater resistance to external vibrations. Newly designed isolation feet blend effective feedback prevention with the rock-solid stability you need to scratch with total confidence. The result is a turntable that stays firmly planted in low-end heavy setups without losing the direct, responsive feel scratch and performance DJs rely on. And with feedback risks minimized, you can drive higher output levels and run more aggressive EQ settings without compromise.

Pitch control like never before: the Technics SL-1210MKX

For the first time in the history of the SL-1200 series, you get a dedicated ±4% pitch range. This narrower band provides finer resolution, making it ideal for pinpoint beatmatching and subtle tempo adjustments when mixing tracks with near-identical BPMs. At the other end of the spectrum, a new ±50% range opens up huge creative freedom for wild mixes, turntablism, and advanced performance techniques. Technics' proven coreless direct-drive motor features adjustable starting torque and braking speed, alongside 78 RPM playback and reverse mode. A quieter reset switch inspired by classic SL-1200 models completes the package.

A nod to the legendary MK2: the Technics SL-1210MKX

A polished silver tonearm paired with a sleek black finish gives the SL-1210MKX the premium look of a flagship deck, while paying homage to the iconic SL-1200MK2. That 1979 classic made quartz-locked direct drive and a clean, intuitive layout the universal booth standard. The MKX carries that legacy forward for touring pros, festival headliners, club residents, and scratch specialists, as well as installed venue setups and hire companies meeting demanding technical riders. On top of that, it packs a host of refined touches crafted with Technics' signature attention to detail—so when you take your vinyl seriously, you can forget the gear and focus purely on the music.
