The Toca TF2DM-10T Freestyle II Mech. Tuned Djembe, Thinker 10-inch is a modern version of this African instrument. Plastic has been used for the bowl, making it lightweight and also not easily damaged. No animal skin has been used for the 10-inch skin, but synthetic material. As a result, it will not dry out, stretch or lose tension. Tension is kept with the mechanical stringing. This can be tightened, so pitch can also be easily adjusted to your liking.

Toca TF2DM-10T: for indoor and outdoor use

A big advantage of these modern materials is that this djembe can be used both indoors and outdoors. Whereas natural materials are sensitive to differences in temperature and moisture, this djembe remains continuously tensioned and will not weather. This also preserves the Thinker finish. It features two shades of red and gold African symbols. This djembe is a fine example of how the same sound can be achieved with new production techniques.
