Toca's Freestyle II series of djembe is made with modern materials. The use of plastic for the shell means that it is lightweight and can also take a beating. A synthetic sheet is placed on top, which does not stretch or dry out and always maintains its tension. The mechanical stringing also contributes to this. Using the tensioning bolts, pitch can be easily adjusted. The unique design gives the Toca TF2DM-12T Freestyle II Mech. Tuned Djembe, Thinker 12 inch a deep bass tone and sharp slaps.

Toca TF2DM-12T: patented

The design combined with the materials used is so unique that Toca has filed several patents on it. Just as special is the finish on the shell. It bears the name Thinker and consists of two shades of red with gold-coloured, African patterns on it. With a field diameter of 12 inches and a height of 61 centimetres, this is quite a large model, but its light weight makes it easy to carry around.
