By monitoring an incoming HDMI signal and extracting the parameters, the Roland Roland VC-1-DMX light show generator is able to spit out a complete DMX-based light show - essentially performing magic. Sent from the future, this revolution of a box is able to analyse and calculate all of the parameters of your connected fixtures, interpret the results and then match them with the incoming signal of any connected audio and MIDI gear to automatically generate a fully synchronised show - a bit like a cyborg light jockey.
