My Son is delighted with this double bass. It came very well packaged, it of amazing quality. I must admit I was dubious when ordering as this was much cheaper than other places, so felt I was taking a risk. But I was wrong, so apologies for that! Would highly recommend.

An interesting starter bass. Super cheap at around £470 even for a plywood bass. The finish is also fake, it looks printed closevup but pretty acceptable at distance.
It came boxed and with the bridge not fitted which did make me concerned about the sound post. However, all was well, there must be enough tension between the top and bottom to hold it.
I fitted the bridge in accordance with an online guide and inline with the f hole notches. I then lined up the strings. Slowly tuning up all the strings together to almost the correct pitch. Then a final tune to GDAE but twang,the G string broke near the tuner. This suggests there is too much resistance pulling through the nut guide. (I recommend using a soft pencil to put down some graphite on the groove first).
Once a replacement string was fitted, it's vlear that the bridge is way too large and this leaves the strings 10 to 14mm above the fingerboard, way too high. I have obtained a second bridge to modify, cheap from ebay to cut down to allow 7 to 10mm max clearance.
Overall its not too heavy, feels sturdy but does come with rubbish strings, it's better with some cheap ish replacements. Sounds like a double bass, at least more than an electric one and works well with claddic J tone pickups fitted to the bridge.
Overall 4 stars for the money, upgrade tge strings, have a good setup and it's good as a starter bass but you will probably want to upgrade it one day to at least a hybrid that looks better!

Out of the box was de snaar afstand erg hoog(12mm bij de g snaar) maar na dat ik zelf de brug opnieuw heb afgewerkt speelde/klonk hij erg goed(de Burg is niet gaan buigen of iets). De strijkstok is niet super, klinkt wat dof en is zwaar(voor mij gevoel) ik raad ook aan om een nieuw bow te kopen als je er Arco mee wil spelen. Dit is een goeie
bas voor het geld met een beetje aandacht en wat veranderingen heb je een serieus instrument.
