General
The Stentor SR1456C Elysia 3/4 double bass is an instrument for the discerning bassist who values craftsmanship and tone. Each instrument is built entirely by hand in a specialist double bass workshop, using only carefully selected solid spruce and flamed maple. This is evident in the rich, full sound and visible in the elegant finish, enhanced by a hand-applied traditional shellac varnish. With an ebony fingerboard, finely finished brass tuning machines and a stable bridge, the Elysia offers not only an authentic playing experience but also years of reliability. The flexible core strings contribute to the sensitive response, ideal for both orchestral and solo playing.
