General
The Stentor SR1456E Elysia 1/2 double bass is a traditionally crafted instrument, carved entirely by hand from selected solid tonewoods. Both the spruce top and the flamed maple back give this double bass its warm, rich tone and distinctive appearance. Thanks to the traditional shellac finish, the instrument takes on a lustrous depth, whilst the ebony fingerboard ensures a smooth playing experience. High-quality brass tuning machines and a well-adjusted bridge ensure stability. The flexible core strings contribute to a smooth playing feel, making this half-contrabass ideal for both beginner and advanced young players in classical and modern repertoire.
