The shells of this four-piece rock set are made of 7-ply mahogany, a rugged wood type that is often used for instruments due to its warm sound characteristics and excellent resonating qualities. The 30-degree bearing edges of the Catalina Club 2014 shells increase the resonating ability of the mahogany, delivering that unique Gretsch sound. This Catalina Club 2014 White Chocolate rock shell set sports a number of new features, including its Catalina mini lugs. The hardware is made of durable metal; it is evident that Gretsch value high-quality materials. The floor tom is equipped with three adjustable legs, which are fitted with anti-slip rubber caps, and the shell set is supplied with a single tom holder, which can be mounted on a cymbal stand.
