The shells of this six-piece shell set are made of six plies of birch and maple, and they're 7.2mm thick. The combination of these two popular wood types ensures that you get the ultimate sound with great resonance and plenty of punch. The excellent resonance of the shells is partly owed to the SONIClear suspension system, which keeps the vibrations of the shells and drumheads contained within the toms themselves. The bass drum is fitted with isolating claw hooks with a rubber lining. This lining doesn't just prevent the hooks from damaging the hoops of your bass drum, it also prevents the claw hooks from rattling as you play. Ik heb dit drumstel nu net een week maar ben er al reuze tevreden mee, bestelling is goed verlopen en ben bij bax-shop Rotterdam goed geholpen . Het drumstel was goed verpakt tegen beschadigingen.

Het drumstel is makkelijk af te stemmen door de "Sonic-Bearing edge" techniek die Mapex heeft bedacht. Ik was al snel tevreden met het geluid dat het drumstel maakte.
De tomclamps bieden genoeg ruimte om je drumstel vrij op te stellen. In het algemeen ben ik hartstikke tevreden over de kwaliteit van het product.
