General
The Imperialstar kits from Tama have been popular for years and for great reason. These kits come with great, versatile sound, can be customised to taste and the price has always been considerate. Since they're also made by Tama, the quality is reassuringly consistent. This particular example of an Imperialstar comes with a full hardware pack (stands) and cymbals and 8mm thick, six-ply poplar shells, each wrapped in a Black Oak finish.
The Six Easy Pieces of the Tama IE62H6W-BOW Imperialstar Kit
The configuration of the IE62H6W Imperialstar kit is as follows: a 22 x 16-inch bass drum; two rack toms of 10 x 7-inches and 12 x 8-inches, a 14 x 13-inch floortom and a 16 x 15-inch floortom with a 14 x 5-inch snare drum to finish, and each drum is fitted with Tama Precision Bearing Edges. The hardware pack includes two cymbal stands (one with a boom arm), a hi-hat stand, snare drum stand, a double tom holder, a stool and a kick pedal. To complete this already comprehensive setup, three Meinl cymbals have been thrown in: one 14-inch hi-hat, a 16-inch crash and a 20-inch ride. All that's left is the sensitive job of picking out your own set of sticks.

Reeds jaren in het bezit van een Roland V-drum, maar nog nooit eigenaar geweest van een akoestische set. Nu er eindelijk plaats voor werd voorzien, overgegaan tot de aanschaf van m'n eerste set. De Black Oak Wrap ziet er prachtig uit. Het mooie is dat je een volledige set koopt met uitzondering van de stokken. Het is dus simpelweg uit de doos halen, opstellen en spelen maar. Mooie, stevige hardware, goed klinkende cymbalen en shellset. Kortom, ik ben er supertevreden mee want het ziet er niet alleen fantastisch uit, het klinkt zo ook.
SERVICE EN LEVERING
Zoals we gewend zijn van Bax, was dit ook weer een staaltje van topservice. Vlot afgerekend, accurate info ivm betaling en levering. Ook al werd de levering uitbesteed aan een externe firma, toch werd dit product door Bax netjes verpakt op een pallet in z'n geheel en keurig op tijd afgleverd op de afgesproken datum en tijdstip.
