Tama's ML40HZBN2-SBV Superstar Hyper-Drive Duo Snare Satin Blue 4-piece shell set consists of a 20 x 16-inch bass drum, a 12 x 7-inch tom, a 16 x 14-inch floor tom and, the real star of the show, the 14 x 10-inch Duo Snare drum. The shells are made of maple and produce a warm sound with plenty of punch boosted by the coated drumheads on the tom, floor tom and Duo Snare. The shells have a beautiful Satin Blue finish and feature a classic yellow vertical stripe. Please note that this set does not include hardware and cymbals.

Duo Snare

The first thing that makes the 14 x 10-inch Duo Snare drum so special is that it stands on floor tom legs. Its ability to be used as a main snare, a side snare or a standard tom are what makes it really stand out though. The third image shows it in the position of a standard snare, while the first image shows it to the left of the hi-hat in side snare position. The second image shows it in the position of a standard floor tom. When tuned low, it gives you a deep, warm snare sound and when you disengage the snare wires it becomes a great first floor tom. It goes without saying that this level of flexibility makes the Tama Superstar HD Duo Snare Satin Blue shell set extremely versatile.
