General
This affordable Silverstar shell set by Tama consists of a bass drum, a tom and a floor tom. The shells are made of birch and produce a characteristic tone that emphasises the low and high frequencies in particular. The set does not include a snare drum, hardware or cymbals, but it does come with a tom holder and floor tom feet. This set is perfect for drummers who play jazz and other light genres.
Tama VA38S-MTA Silverstar Tamo Ash 3-piece shell set
The 18 x 14-inch bass drum is 8 mm thick and made up of eight layers of birch while the 12 x 8-inch tom and 14 x 14-inch floor tom are 6 mm thick and comprised of six layers of birch. In terms of thickness, material and sound projection, these shells are suitable for a wide range of playing styles. The shells feature an attractive Tamo Ash finish and chrome-plated hardware. The steel rims give the shells a defined tone and sustain and contribute to great tuning stability as well.
