What do artists like Aphex Twin, Nine Inch Nails, Mr. Oizo, OMD, Moby and Autechre have in common? Yeah okay, probably a few things, but what we we're trying to say is: the Roland TR-606 drum machine! Which in terms of design is similar to the TR-808 and looks kind of like the TB-303. And then Behringer step in, who've been working hard to bring the past back to the present for a while now. After the long list of vintage synths the sonic historians have already rebuilt, it was finally time to take on the TR-606 and repackage it in the form of the Behringer RD-6 you're looking at today.
The Behringer RD-6
The RD-6 essentially consists of an x0x-style sequencer with a focus on percussive accents backed up by a synthesizer loaded with eight analogue drum sounds: kick, snare, low tom, high tom, cymbal, clap, open hi-hat and closed hi-hat.

Origineel staat hier ook en de bediening van de RD6 is hier vrijwel gelijk aan, dus moeiteloos mee aan de slag.
Evaluatie van geluid uit origineel - RD6 is natuurlijk subjectief, maar voor mij zelf voldoende authentiek.
Toevoeging van de HC geeft ook meerwaarde. Distortion had naar mijn smaak wel wat subtieler gekund.
Had liever een toegevoegd LED display gezien, maar voor zo'n prijs kun je deze niet laten lopen.
Voor mij een zeer geslaagd geheel.
