General
The Elektron Digitakt drum machine is equipped with a flexible sound-engine, gig-friendly sequencer, and everything you would ever need to operate your external MIDI equipment and make awesome beats! Furthermore, the Digitakt is equipped with eight internal audio tracks, eight dedicated MIDI tracks and a selection of tasty effects. It also features Overbridge support, which means you can treat it as a software plugin. All this functionality can be controlled by the tactile, backlit buttons on the face of this compact little beat-machine and all menus, options and info is made cystal clear by an OLED display. The Digitakt has a number connection options including two jack inputs, two balanced jack outputs, MIDI IN, OUT and THRU ports as well as a high-speed USB 2.0 port.
Tips or comments about this product- The free Transfer 1.1 app can be downloaded from Elektron's website. It allows you send samples between a Digitakt and an Analog Rytm MKII. The app is available for macOS 10.9 or later and Windows 7 or later.

Prachtig apparaat. Al is het inderdaad in de basis een "drum computer", is het een stuk veelzijdiger dan dat label doet vermoeden. Door de basis van sampling, waarin het zeker capabel is, kun je allerlei stijlen spelen. Bovendien is het voor mij momenteel een soort van compositie-apparaat geworden, waarin ik andere instrumenten speel en dus sample, en vervolgens met de nieuwe Song Mode volledige tracks kan afwerken. Aanrader voor degenen die zoeken voor een all-in-one sampling workflow!

Lo compré con la idea de reproducir samplers melódicos usando el teclado y la opción de escalas, pero no me convenció nada como transpone las notas. Para grabar samplers más largos y jugar con ellos o como drum machine es muy buena pero no para lo que yo quería.

Ik ben enorm onder de indruk van de Digitakt! Ik heb hem nu een paar dagen maar ik ben nu al fan.
Geweldige sequencer, fantastische sound engine en de mogelijkheid om van zowat elk geluid een synth voice te maken door een heel kleine selectie te loopen (single cycle wave forms).
Het enige minpunt voor mij is de menustructuur om de geluiden te vinden en in je project te laden. Die is wat minder intuitief.
Eigenlijk is het ding een soort zandbak waarin je heerlijk zandkastelen kunt maken met geluid. Echt een aanrader.

Als totale onervaren leek heb ik een digitakt gekocht omdat ik wilde experimenteren met drumtracks en geluiden maken. Hoewel ik op het moment denk ik slechts 10% van de digitakt begrijp en onder de knie heb, ben ik erg onder de indruk van de geluidskwaliteit en de eindeloze mogelijkheden om geluidsamples te tweaken, samen te brengen en gelaagde tracks te maken.
Het is een ingewikkeld apparaat met schijnbaar eindeloze mogelijkheden, maar met tutorials op youtube en veel experimenteren kan je de digitakt helemaal eigen maken. Het zal in ieder geval niet een instrument zijn waar ik snel op uitgegekeken raak!
