In the eighties, Roland's TR-808 drum machine was all the rage. Producers and hip-hop artists in particular simply couldn't get enough of it, and artists like The Beastie Boys, Public Enemy, Whitney Houston, Phil Collins and Marvin Gaye all used it in their music at some point. Now, almost three decades after its release, the iconic TR-808 is back as the TR-08 Rhythm Composer Boutique drum machine. It's more compact than ever and packed with modern features.

The first thing you'll notice about the TR-08 is sure to be its vintage appearance. Thanks to ACB technology, this device is an exact replica of the original, inside and out! Roland analysed and copied each and every original component with great precision, ensuring the TR-08 had all the vintage sounds and features that were available on the TR-808. The biggest difference between the two is that the TR-08 is smaller in size and has a handful of new functions that you simply can't do without nowadays.

Features

The compact size and durable housing of the TR-08 make it very easy to transport. You can also use the Roland TR-08 as a low-latency audio interface. It has a built-in speaker and works on four AA batteries (included) or a rechargeable Ni-MH battery (sold separately)! Of course, you can also connect a set of headphones and supply the TR-08 with power from your laptop via USB. That makes this drum machine ideal for making beats on the go, any place, any time. The sequencer has 16 steps, each of which can be divided into 16 sub steps so you can program detailed drum fills. The TR-08 drum machine also offers MIDI USB possibilities.
