General
This stylish, orange Gretsch GREPAD6O 6-inch practice pad enables drummers to quietly practise their technique, but can also be used to do a relatively silent warming-up before a show. The silicone gel playing surface, adorned with a Round Badge logo, ensures a natural drumming experience. Thanks to its heavy wooden base with anti-slip foam, the pad stays securely in place when it is rested on a smooth surface, but it can also be mounted on a regular pad or cymbal stand by means of its 8mm thread.

Nice piece of kit . Well made , and a handy 8mm mounting thread . Not noisy. Fairly hard surface but as long as you don't smack the hell out of it , it's a winner.

Stevige pad. Ben op zoek naar een 'moeilijke' pad, dus een die je laat werken (vingers en polsen), zoals met moongel of een zachte slagabsorberende silicone. Deze pad zou dat moeten hebben, maar dat is onzin. Misschien noemen ze het materiaal gel, maar het effect is hetzelfde als rubber: te makkelijke rebound, te weinig 'reallife' vel-actie. Het probleem met pads is dat ze je teveel actie 'geven' (rebound), in het echte leven moet je ervoor werken (zoals op floortoms) ;-)

Ik was op zoek naar een grotere oefenpad. Ik heb namelijk die van Vic Firth 6 inch, maar die beviel niet echt. Ik was even aan het twijfelen tussen deze oefenpad en die van Vic Firth 12 inch. Ik heb voor deze gekozen en heb er geen moment spijt van. Speelt heerlijk en deze oefenpad heeft meer terugslag wat ik heel prettig vind.
