A solid, stable, and comfortable drum throne is a must-have for any self-respecting drummer, and in the humble shape of the Round Rider XL range, Tama may well be setting a new standard in the illustrious world of drum thrones. The HT830B throne comes supported by a set of three double-braced legs that are further backed up by Tama's own Rocklock system that prevents anything from shifting, while the fitted extra-large and extra-thick rubber feet also have a longer lifespan than ever before and have been finished with a special and reassuring anti-slip coating.

The base of the Round Rider is a little lower than before, which in turn, lowers the centre of gravity while the longer feet ensure a broader foundation, all of which combine to improve stability. The round 15" diameter seat itself has been coated in synthetic leather and has been made much deeper to provide an optimal and comfortable playing position. While this throne already comes with Tama-grade assurance, the simple yet insanely effective tweaks that have been made to a classic design are what pushes the Round Rider over and above.
