General

Promark's Bob Gatzen sticks are an excellent choice for drummers looking for well-defined sticks that are still capable of producing hefty volumes. The sticks are made from hickory wood, by far the most popular type of wood for drumsticks because of its durability and stick definition.

Promark RBBGBGW Bob Gatzen

The sticks have a so-called 'barrel-tip'. This provides different articulation possibilities and excellent sound projection. Both soft and hard, these sticks continue to sound perfectly defined. Bob gatzen's sticks have a relatively long 'taper'. The 'taper' of a drumstick is the gradient from the shoulder to the tip. The longer the taper the further the centre of gravity of the stick is towards your hands. The centre of gravity of a stick with a short taper is more towards the tip. This obviously affects the rebound and thus the playing feel. The Bob Gatzen Signature sticks have a diameter of 1.5 centimetres.

ProMark RBBGBGW Bob Gatzen Bob Gatzen hickory drum sticks

De drumstok heeft een fijne balans. Lekker lang ook. ik probeerde hem als alternatief voor de Dave Weckl signature. Helaas houdt hij het niet lang genoeg vol voor mij. Na twee keer repeteren (rock) was de stok op.
