General
Drummer Mikkey Dee is famous for his performances in metal band Motörhead and King Diamond. He has a playing style that's fast, precise, and above all, powerful. This fits well with Wincent's motto, "As close to metal as wood can get". It's no surprise therefore, that Dee collaborated with this specific brand to design his signature sticks. They are as thick as 2B sticks, but have a thicker tip that's made for rock. Use these sticks on your ride cymbals to cut through any wall of sound. Wincent: Swedish quality
Wincent was founded in 1992 when Swedish drummer Dan Nylén was having some problems with his rods. He decided to make them himself in his garage with his father's help, who was a woodworker. He named the brand after his father's middle name, which was Wincent. The rods were only the beginning—there soon followed drum sticks and brushes of all types, with emphasis on durability and an ecologically-friendly manufacturing process.
