During karaoke night, we can imagine you'd rather not hand over your expensive SM58 microphone to the audience, no matter how rugged it is. Instead, why not opt for a more affordable alternative, which can suffer a little abuse? Take the SV200, for instance, a great all-round microphone that's part of Shure's budget SV series.
The concept behind the SV200
With the PG series, Shure offers a number of great, reasonably priced entry-level microphones. If your budget is quite limited, however, you might want to look at the SV series instead, which offers decent mics with an unbeatable price/quality ratio, such as the SV200. It's a fantastic all-rounder that's particularly suitable for lead vocals, backing vocals, karaoke and presentations.
The technology of the microphone
The Shure SV100 has an inconspicuous housing with a black finish and a black grille. Its dynamic construction boasts a cardioid pickup pattern, which means it captures most of the sound in front of the mic, while floor monitor and PA speaker noise is largely ignored.

Kwalitatief dus een prima microfoon, maar mechanisch een paar kleine zwakke puntjes.
Pluspunten:
- Goede kwaliteit voor de prijs
- Microfoon oogt goed
- Ligt prettig in de hand
Minpunten:
- Kapselkoppen zitten snel los
- Vrij handgevoelig
- Statiefklem heeft 5/8" draad, verloopnippel is nodig die snel naar 'binnen' verdwijnt
