The Shure A85F is a low-to-high-impedance line matching transformer that increases your microphone signal level with 24 dB. This enhanced output signal will allow you to connect a balanced low-impedance microphone to an unbalanced high-impedance input on a mixer or recorder, for instance, making your mic more versatile than it already is!

Using the A85F with our recently acquired Shure SM58 mike, through a Fender Champion 40 watt amp. We are a small group of singers backed by just one guitar. Being amplified has made a big difference, and the sound is crystal clear. Would highly recommend this set-up to anyone in a similar situation.

IK moest een XlR microfoon aansluiten met een lange kabel 20m op een technics mengpaneel.
De transformator zorgt er voor dat er op een lange kabel geen brom komt.Voor dat doel heb ik hem gekocht en hij werkt perfect.Een goed product.

Omdat ik niet geen PA heb, maar wel een klein reserve gitaar amp heb ik dit verloopstekker aangeschaft om zo mijn microphone daar op aan te sluiten.
Voorheen moest ik de volume op 10 zetten om iets er uit te krijgen maar met de Shure A85F matching transformator hoef ik maar naar +/- 5 open te draaien om een goed geluid te krijgen.
De microphone is wel iets gevoeliger voor feedback geworden maar dat los ik op door de versterker een metertje verder weg te zetten.
Voor oefenpartijen, of als je gewoon de middelen niet hebt voor een PA, is dit een prima oplossing voor weinig geld.
