Meinl's Generation X series of cymbals caters to the drummers who want some more daring cymbal sounds, as it consists of a large number of innovative cymbals. The GX-8/10ES is a stacked cymbal. By stacking two cymbals - measuring 8 and 10 inches in size - you create a completely different sound. The Generation X GX-8/10ES has been crafted using a computerised process and is made of B8 bronze.
Meinl Generation X GX-8/10ES
The sound of this Electro Stack is very distinct and excellently suited for quick accents. It has a powerful attack, thanks to the rippled china top. It also has a trashy character, and if you hit it just right, you can even create a white noise effect. Because it consists of two cymbals stacked on top of one another, it has very short sustain. The (prog)rock and metal scenes especially are sure to welcome this unique cymbal, but Generation X cymbals are very versatile and usable in many styles, both in the studio and on stage.
