The Antares Auto-Tune Vocal Studio 8 (download) is a plugin bundle that includes the well-known Auto-Tune 8 pitch correction software and AVOX 4. AVOX is a collection of 11 digital effects designed to enhance your vocal tracks. After you've used Auto-Tune 8 to ensure there isn't a single off-key note on your recording, you can experiment with the powerful Harmony Engine, for example, which generates convincing vocal harmonies based on a single-voice melody line.

Auto-Tune Vocal Studio 8: natural-sounding pitch correction

Many audio professionals say they can hear if a recording has been manipulated by pitch correction software or not. Whether they can or not, one thing is certain: Auto-Tune 8 is better than ever when it comes to correcting vocals as naturally as possible. This means the singer won't have to re-record a take because of a couple off-key notes, especially if the expression and intensity in that take is otherwise perfect. The entire track can be smoothed out without affecting the character and personality of the vocalist's performance. If you want, however, Auto-Tune can also be used to create extreme, robot-like vocal effects.

Eleven effects

The 11 effects in the AVOX package can be loaded into the host program of your choice that supports AAX, VST, or AU plugins. You can assign one or more plugins to any vocal track and add things like tube-like warmth or talk box effects, for starters. You can allow the vocals to 'breathe', double them, add more brightness and power to them, or even give them a completely different personality!
