The Neumann RIME effects plug-in takes virtual acoustics to a new level by offering a single, perfectly reproduced reference room. Instead of countless virtual rooms, RIME offers a single, carefully recorded studio environment in which only reference equipment from the Neumann range was used. The setup consisted of an immersive array of KH Line loudspeakers and subwoofers, and was fine-tuned by experts using MA 1 automatic monitor alignment. The three-dimensional sound field was captured using the renowned KU 100 binaural microphone and Neumann’s own MT 48 audio interface, ensuring an uncoloured, razor-sharp result.

The integrated AMBEO algorithms deliver a unique listening experience without the undesirable ‘phasiness’ found in other plugins. Specially optimised for Neumann headphones, RIME offers a reliable solution for mixing and mastering in surround sound without the need for an expensive multi-channel studio space. Stereo listening sessions also benefit, thanks to a natural speaker experience through your headphones, without any annoying ‘in-head’ positioning. Support for OSC head tracking further enriches the experience by responding to head movements. Compatibility is guaranteed with Windows and macOS, plus VST3, AU and AAX for virtually any DAW.
