A kind of multi-effect with a unique twist, the Sugar Bytes Turnado plug-in provides up to eight adjustable simultaneous effects - not that special so far, but what makes the Turnado that bit more special, is the benevolent Dictator function. Say you have two effects like an amp and vocoder - using the Dictator grid, you can select the range within which each effect is triggered. Maybe you place the amp in the lower half and the vocoder in the upper half, then you can use the large Dictator slider to literally dictate which part of the grid the effects work in. Since it's actually a lot easier to see the process in action than to explain it, we've included a few clips under the Video tab on this page. In any case, while this plug-in does do much of the stuff that many other plug-ins can do, it does it in a fraction of the time and with a fraction of the effort.
