D'Addario XSB45130SL Regular Light, Super Long Scale Coated Bass Strings 45-130 electric bass guitar string set

General

With the D’Addario XSB45130SL, you can give your five-string super-long-scale electric bass a fresh set of strings with a powerful, balanced tone. This XS Nickel Bass set combines a nickel-plated steel winding with an ultra-thin XS coating. This gives the strings a smooth feel and ensures they last a long time, without compromising on clarity or responsiveness. The Regular Light gauges from .045 to .130 make this a versatile choice for a wide range of musical styles. Whether you’re laying down a solid bassline or playing more subtly, this set is designed for bassists who want to combine a familiar playing feel with the durability of coated strings.

Revamped winding, familiar feel

With these strings, the innovation isn’t just in the coating. D’Addario uses a reformulated nickel-plated steel winding wire and has adjusted the ratio between the core and the winding. This results in a versatile string that retains a familiar feel whilst bringing out the overtones even more. The roundwound construction, combined with the ultra-thin XS coating, forms the basis for a smooth feel and a powerful, balanced tone. The XSB45130SL therefore provides a complete set for your five-string super-long-scale bass guitar that isn’t tailored to any one genre. This is handy if you regularly switch between different playing styles whilst wanting to stick with the same strings.

Strong core and practical packaging

Reliability has also been taken into account beneath the winding. According to D’Addario, the NY High Carbon Steel cores offer better tuning stability and higher breaking strength than standard bass strings. This makes this set an attractive option if durability is important to you, but you also expect a clear response from your instrument. You’ll receive one complete set of five strings for a five-string super-long-scale bass guitar. D’Addario manufactures the XS bass strings at its own factory in New York, USA. The strings are supplied in a recyclable, resealable VCI bag. The packaging also features a code which, once registered, allows you to earn points for the D’Addario Players Circle programme.
