General
The DR Strings DBSMB-45 Black Dragon Medium is a set of strings specially designed for electric bass guitars with a multiscale scale length. The four strings have gauges of .045, .065, .085 and .105 inches, with the E and A strings featuring a tapered design for a precise fit. The round core and DR Strings Accurate Core Technology ensure a smooth playing feel and consistent response. Thanks to their medium tension, these strings are ideal for bassists seeking a balance between playing comfort, a firm attack and a powerful tone.
Bright tone and long-lasting performance
The stainless steel windings deliver a bright, defined tone with ample presence and articulation. This ensures that individual notes remain clearly audible, even at low pitches. The black K3 coating helps preserve the original tone for longer and contributes to the strings’ extended lifespan. Despite this protective layer, the strings are designed to feel natural whilst playing. The combination of stainless steel, the round core and the thin coating offers a balance between resonance, playing comfort and durability. This makes the strings suitable for bassists who play their instrument regularly and value a consistent tone.
