General

A 6-string multi-scale bass requires a specific set of strings, like this pack of DR Strings Dragon Skin+ Coated Multi-Scale Tapered Stainless Steel strings. These .030 to .125-gauged strings feature a special K3 coating that not only wards off grease and grime, but is extra hard and doesn't dampen the sound at all. The stainless steel construction, meanwhile, ensures bright-and-forceful tone framed by high output and powerfully projected mid-range frequencies. Since they're also tapered at the bridge end, these strings are a tad more resonant than standard too.
