The first ever flatwound strings to feature a cobalt core and matching winding, this pack of Ernie Ball 2815 Extra Slinky Flatwound Bass strings aren't just built to last way longer, but boast the smooth feel of a set of flatwounds and the direct sound of a set of roundwounds. The mega-light, .040 to .095 gauge, meanwhile, retains full tone and low, flexible tension alongside that classic, Slinky-grade playability.
The use of cobalt also boosts the magnetic attraction between the pickups and strings to guarantee an incomparable dynamic range, excellent overtone response, a potent bottom-end, and excellent high-end clarity. These strings also come in an airtight pack so they sound as fresh as they did the day they were born.
Ernie Ball strings come sealed up inside an airtight pack to prevent oxidisation and to ensure that every string is as fresh as the day it was born.
