For seasoned bassists who need a trusty bass, the Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas Bass PJ IV is a safe bet. This first-rate four-string harks back to tried-and-tested predecessors but also features a number of fresh perks, like a caramelised maple neck. Firmly bolted to the classic alder body, the neck has undergone a special process where excess moisture is removed from the wood, resulting in an extra-stable construction that's better equipped to deal with temperature and humidity shifts.

Maximum Tonal Variability

The bridge position is filled by a DiMarzio® Model J™ DP123 passive single-coil pickup, which has been teamed up with a DiMarzio® Model P® DP122 passive humbucker in the middle position. The push/pull volume control lets you toggle between the active circuit with built-in 3-band EQ and passive mode, while the Blend pot dials in the balance both two pickups.

Luminlay Side Dots

Since playing on a dark stage can be pretty tricky, Charvel has thoughtfully finished this Pro Mod San Dimas Series model with Luminlay side dots. These glow-in-the-dark position markers combine with cream fretboard markers promote smooth fretboard navigation, no matter the circumstances.
