General

Fender's Precision Bass has been the weapon of choice for countless bassists for decades. Part of the American Ultra II Series, this particular version offers the highest level of playing comfort as well as superb sonic versatility. The premium playability stems from a quarter-sawn maple neck with a modern D profile and an Ultra-Satin finish; a fretboard that has a 10-to-14-inch compound radius for smooth transitions; a rounded heel and twenty-one medium jumbo frets; and ever-practical Luminlay side dots. This choice P-Bass is put together in the States of course, and comes wrapped up in a deluxe case.

The American Ultra II Precision Bass: S-1 Switch

The Fender American Ultra II Precision Bass has a solid body made from select alder, which shapes a rich and balanced acoustic foundation sound. As soon as it's plugged in, Ultra II Noiseless Vintage Jazz and Precision Bass pickups take over to deliver widely variable amplified sound, where the extensive tone controls - including a two-way mid-range frequency selector switch and a master volume pot equipped with an S-1 switch for toggling between active and passive mode - give you a mass of options as far as dialling in the tone goes. The adjustable HiMass bridge even supports both top-loader and string-through-body set-ups as preferred.
