Made the same way as over sixty years ago, the Fender American Vintage II 1960 Precision Bass is an extremely accurate reproduction of the original '60 model. From the production process to the sound, it doesn't get much closer to a real vintage instrument than this.
Attention to Detail
All Precision basses that left Fender's factory back in 1960 had an alder body and a 1-piece maple neck with 20 frets. Needless to say, the American Vintage II model features the same specs, including a 7.25" fretboard radius and vintage tall frets for a lighter feel, plus a 4-saddle bridge for that all-important harmonic sustain.
Pure Vintage Sound
In addition to a high-quality finish and original wiring, the Fender 1960 Precision Bass comes loaded with a Pure Vintage '60 Split Coil pickup for fully dynamic and convincing P-style sound, which can be tweaked with ease via a master tone pot and a master volume pot.
