General
The legendary session bassist Pino Palladino has worked with greats as diverse as The Who, Eric Clapton, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Young and John Mayer. His Signature Precision Bass, in a Fiesta Red Relic version, has an alder body based on his P-bass from 1961 and a maple neck based on his sunburst Precision from 1963. The laminated rosewood fretboard ensures a creamy accent to the balanced P-sound without losing that famous Fender bite.
Fender Pino Palladino Precision Bass Fiesta Red over Desert Sand: sound, looks and playing comfort
When amplified the Fender Precision Bass delivers that famous '60s vintage warm sound, with a touch of definition. The Pino Palladino Signature bass guitar is fitted with a Vintage Split Single-Coil pickup and potentiometers for volume and tone, to produce that well-known P-bass sound. The Fiesta Red lacquer and hardware have been replicated as realistically and meticulously as possible based on the patterns of Palladino's original P bass from 1961. The '63-style Precision neck has also been specially treated in the Fender Custom Shop to give you a bass guitar with authentic looks and pleasant vintage playing comfort.

The master luthiers at Fender's Custom Shop in California are well known for their superb craftsmanship and their use of outstanding materials. Every stringed instrument is finished with an attention to detail that guarantees perfection in terms of sound, looks and playing comfort. This includes the famous signature guitars and basses from legendary musicians, like the NOS versions and this Relic version.
