Six strings, a neck-through build, quad-coil Bartolini pickups and a rock-solid purpleheart fretboard are just a few of the specifications that bassist, producer and record label owner, Adam Nitti has gone for with this high-end Ibanez signature bass. Nitti has played with countless mega-stars - including Dave Weckl, Mike Stern, Al Green and Scott Henderson - and his self-developed playing style has brought him nothing but critical acclaim. Needless to say, he's been deserving the Ibanez ANB306E Adam Nitti Signature for a while now.
The Ibanez ANB306E Adam Nitti: Neck-Through Build
In this case, the neck-through construction doesn't just give you extra sustain and easier access to all twenty-four frets, but gives you the stability of a five-piece neck made from moisture-resistant purpleheart and maple. Carved out of ash, the body wings are covered with a blue quilted maple top, completing an immediately eye-catching whole in combination with the abalone inlays.
Bartolini Quad-Coil Pickups
As far as the hardware and electronics go, the Ibanez ANB306E leaves nothing to chance. Nitti has opted for a Hipshot A-style bridge, a Bartolini NTMB+ 18V preamp with a three-way mid-frequency selector switch, plus a pair of Bartolini xxM56C passive quad-coil pickups for broad-and-deep yet clearly defined sound.
