General

The Sire Marcus Miller P5 4-String FL combines a fretless design with deep-and-pure P-style sound, resulting in free and comfy playability along with the freedom to roam from style to style since this versatile four-string handles both fat grooves and supple melodies with effortless ease.

The Marcus Miller P5 4-String FL: Pure and Organic Fretless Bass Sounds

Made from a single piece of roasted hard maple, the C-profile neck not only adds a vintage touch, but adds enhanced resonance to the already-full sound of the alder body while firming up the overall stability. The fretboard, meanwhile, features fret lines instead of actual frets and comes finished with rounded edges so your fingers can smoothly glide up and down and you can easily hit the right notes.

Dependable Hardware

This Marcus Miller model has been outfitted with quality hardware to guarantee optimum tuning stability, sustain and vibrational transference so, as well as a string-through-body MM Vintage-S bridge, you're looking at open-gear tuners and a real bone nut. In terms of electronics, you're treated to unadulterated P-style bass sound courtesy of a Marcus Vintage-Fat Precision Revolution split-coil pickup teamed up with a single volume pot and tone control.
