General

More and more bassists are discovering the high playing comfort of a short scale bass guitar. That's why Sterling by Music Man is unpacking this RAYSS4. The StingRay Short Scale Charging Green has a scale of 30 inches. Because the distance between the bridge saddles and the nut is shorter than with a standard scale, the frets are closer together and the strings have relatively less tension. This gives you a different feel and allows you to play chords or push up the strings with ease. This model is also an excellent option for guitarists looking to make the switch to bass guitar.

StingRay Short Scale: surprisingly versatile

The base of the Sterling RAYSS4 consists of a nyatoh body with a maple neck. The amplified sound comes from one newly designed neodymium humbucker. Thanks to the 3-way switch, you can choose between three modes, namely parallel, series or true single-coil. This allows you to get a wide range of tones from this bass. It even has a volume boost, which you can activate via the push/push volume potentiometer. So you get a surprisingly versatile bass guitar with an easy-to-use layout. In short, the ideal partner for on stage or in the studio.
