General

Until now, each string in a set of bass guitar strings had a different string tension. As a result, some strings could feel a bit stiffer than others. For maximum control and optimal playing comfort, D'Addario created the Balanced Tension series. This EXL220BT is a .040 set for electric bass guitar. The thicknesses of the four strings are matched via mathematical calculations, for a balanced tension from the E to the G string.

The D'Addario EXL220BT Balanced Tension string set is made in America from the finest materials. Nickel-plated steel wound around a hexagonal high carbon steel core. The result is a set of bass guitar strings with long-lasting bright tone, longevity and excellent intonation. The strings are packed in eco-friendly packaging that prevents corrosion. As a result, they are fresh at all times.
