Marcus Miller teamed up with string manufacturer Dunlop to create a signature set of 4 bass guitar strings. The result is this set of Dunlop Marcus Miller MD-4 Super Bright bass strings in gauges .45 to .105 inches. It's based on a set of Dunlop Super Brights and offers a light string tension and excellent string-to-string balance.
Dunlop Marcus Miller Super Bright strings
These strings offer crispy highs and deep lows, and are sensitive to the smallest details in your music. The open sound allows the true character of your instrument to shine through. These stainless-steel roundwound strings also have a stainless-steel core. The winding feels satin-smooth to the touch and delivers superior tone response. Last but not least, these strings are made in the USA.

Was heel benieuwd naar de snaren om het slappen weer op te pakken, veel met andere muziek bezig geweest. Maar bij het installeren op mijn Framus (de bas die ik hiervoor uit mijn collectie had uitgekozen) brak de e-snaar. Vreemd en is me in de 45 jaar dat ik speel maar 1 keer eerder gebeurd. Maar Bax doet niet moeilijk en stuurt meteen een nieuwe set en de andere 3 snaren kan ik ook houden. Hoeven niet terug via retour enz. Prima service. Ik ga de snaren uitproberen en kom nog met een review op de snaren zelf maar weet zeker dat ik tevreden zal zijn.

Waardeloze snaren als je de DR fat beams van Marcus Miller gewend was en dacht de opvolger te kopen. De Dunlops zijn veel stugger en voelen als vintage stalen kabels, klinken alleen lekker als je slapt (niet zo gek voor Marcus snaren da's normaal), ergste vond ik dat het leek alsof ze niet even hard klinken, de A snaar klonk zachter dan de E, lag zeker niet aan mijn elementen van dure bassen, op meerdere bassen geprobeerd maar ze zijn regelrecht het ronde archief ingegaan.

Goeie snaren voor die prijs! Spelen licht en snel. Voelen ook dunner aan dan 45-105. Mooie toon in zowel het laag, het mid en het hoog en veel sustain. Spelen lekkerder dan de (veel) duurdere sets. Prima product!

Top snaren. Speel normaal op Dunlop SBN en was benieuwd hoe het zou zijn op Stainless Steel. Waanzinnige sound, juiste spanning en mooi definitie.

Uitermate fijne snaren , klinken heerlijk helder met mooi gedefinieerd mid/ diep laag....zelfs na meerdere keren met mijn zweethanden beroerd en naderhand niet schoongemaakt.
Even wat oprekken( en netjes om je mechanieken draaien) voor het spelen en ze blijven mooi op toon.( of je hebt matige stemmechanieken)
Ik weet niet of dit te maken heeft met stainless steel , vroeger veel met plated snaren gespeeld maar stainless steel is voor mij ....MAGIC twang
Chapeau voor Dunlop...en mijnheer Miller
