General
Yamaha's Pacifica series is a great introduction to the wonderful world of electric guitars. If you're just starting to learn how to play and want to try your skills on a full-fledged solid-body guitar, these reasonably priced instruments are an excellent choice. In this set you'll find the Yamaha Pacifica 012RM, accompanied by an Orange combo, a Fazley tuner, a jack cable and a (Dutch) book that teaches you how to play. In short, it's an offer not to be frowned upon!
Yamaha Pacifica 012RM: a red charmer
The Pacifica 012RM is an electric guitar with a bright Red Metallic finish. Its body is made of agathis, and the neck is fitted with a rosewood fretboard. Three pickups in HSS configuration make sure that your playing is reproduced. The humbucker at the bridge produces a fat, warm tone, while the two single-coils in the mid and neck positions expand your sound palette. A 5-way pickup switch makes sure that you stay in control of your output. This Pacifica's bridge is equipped with a vintage-style tremolo for even more ways to express yourself.
A complete set
Of course an electric guitar won't do you much good without an amplifier. In this set, that vital role is fulfilled by the Orange Crush PiX CR12L, a feisty 12-watt British combo with a 6" Crush speaker. Hook your guitar up using the included 5-metre Procab jack cable, and keep the instrument in tune with the Fazley T-60 clip-on tuner that's also part of the deal. Don't you know how to play yet, or could you simply do with a nice refresher course? The included Dutch book 'Leer Jezelf Gitaar' (including CD and DVD) teaches you the basic chords, techniques and theory.
